Canines will have the last splashes in the Jefferson pool this summer, with the annual Doggie Paddle slated for Saturday, Sept. 2, from 1 to 3 pm.
A doggie swim suit competition will add to the fun, and all dogs will receive a toy to take home.
The admission charge is $4 per dog. Proceeds will benefit the Animal Protection and Education charity for low-cost spay and neuter clinics in central Iowa.
